Born in Lebanon, studied in France at the Sorbonne University and lived in England before coming to the US with my family in 1991.
I have exhibited my oil paintings in various Paris, Beirut, London galleries, where I have also participated in the International Contemporary Art fair.
In the U.S. I have participated in several exhibitions in, Florida, Virginia, DC and Maryland.
Reflecting a strong Mediterranean influence, my use of vibrant colors is very evident throughout my work.
My style is characterized by bright clean colors, a lot of blending and a personal Gouache technique that I have developed for Oils. I also work with Acrylics, mostly for my abstract paintings.
I currently teach Cocktails and Canvas at Visarts, Rockville as well as give group private classes.
Moreover, I just published my new children’s book: “Joey the Leopard/Have you seen my spots?” available for sale online at “Joeytheleopard.com”
Beside my passion for painting, I enjoy cooking, biking, hiking, swimming, hot yoga and have earned my fourth degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
I love to find beauty in nature, animal, inanimate objects and transpose it onto my canvas. Sharing my positive attitude, passion and vibrant colors with others is very rewarding for me because they say my paintings make them happy.
“My aim is to brighten up your day every time
you look at my paintings or read my book”
